1999 onwards Institute of Digital Arts and Technology/Planetary Collegium
Based at the University of Plymouth, i-DAT and The Planetary Collegium (formerly CAiiA-STAR) needed a professionally maintained web server outside the scope of the UK academic network to facilitate development, collaboration and hosting for institutes, projects, artworks and documentation of all their activity. The Docklands-based commercial server has been running for 6 years and provides email, web and streaming media facilities to staff and students, and operates as a platform for continued use in art and research.
